Kyrgyzstan received $590 million of direct investments in 2017

According to the results of 2017, Kyrgyzstan received $590 million of direct investment, Economy Minister Artem Novikov told during the consideration of the government's report for 2017.

The main sectors are manufacturing, scientific and professional activities and financial activities, the minister said.

Prime Minister Sapar Isakov explained that the exports to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2017 increased by 27%, and to third countries by 8%.

Investments will come to the mining industry of Kyrgyzstan, as well as processing industry and the information and communication industry, the prime minister believes.

Minister of Finance Adylbek Kasymaliev said that for today the external debt of Kyrgyzstan is $3.8 billion, which is $200 million less than the previous figure.

According to the results of 2017, the foreign debt of the country was $4 billion 80 million, the minister said.

Earlier Iskhak Masaliev said that the foreign debt of the Kyrgyz Republic increased by $300 million.
