President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a phone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
Jeenbekov congratulated Putin on his reelection as president of the Russian Federation and wished him every success in his highest office.
The two leaders also discussed cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the forthcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which is to be held in the Russian Federation.

Candidate from the Communist Party Pavel Grudinin received 11.81% of the vote, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky - 5.67%.
