Kyrgyz and Uzbek FMs sign cooperation programme

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldayev met in Tashkent with his Uzbek counterpart Abulaziz Kamilov. The meeting was held on the margins of the international conference on Afghanistan "Peace Process, Cooperation in the Sphere of Security and Regional Cooperation".

The sides discussed the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Uzbekistan (December 13-14, 2017).

They also discussed the prospects for building up bilateral cooperation, as well as current issues of mutually beneficial Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations in the political, water-energy, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed the Program of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018-2019.
