Kyrgyz Prime Minister instructs to develop plan for investment projects in Batken


Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov held a working meeting on the development plan of the Batken region, the Government press service reported.

Information on current socio-economic situation of the region was presented by the government's authorized representative of Batken region, Abish Khalmurzayev. Mr. Khalmurzaev spoke about the existing problems in the sphere of agriculture, industry and infrastructure development of the region.

The Prime Minister highlighted that for progressive development of the regions in the country and the solution of their problems, it is necessary to conduct close work of state bodies together with local authorities.The head of government stressed the special importance of implementing promising investment projects in the region. Isakov also drew the attention of Batken authorities to modernize the road infrastructure of the villages, cities and districts of the region at the expense of the local budget.

The Prime Minister instructed to develop a project for the construction of a logistics center in the Batken region, similar to the logistics center in At-Bashy district of Naryn oblast.

Both the government's authorized representative of the Batken province and relevant state bodies were told to promptly develop a plan for the implementation of short-term and long-term investment projects in the region. Further, Isakov stressed that working meetings on development and implementation of the investment projects plan will be held with the leaderships of all regions.

“After the Batken oblast, the government moves to other oblasts where their development plans, investment projects, and implementation reports will be discussed as well" the Prime Minister concluded.
