The date of the inauguration of the newly elected president of the Kyrgyz Republic became known. The solemn ceremony of taking office by Sooronbay Jeenbekov is scheduled for Friday, November 24. Administration of the acting head of state informed 24.kg news agency.
It is known that for the first time a solemn ceremony will take place in the State Residence Ala-Archa.
Earlier similar ceremonial events were held in the National Philharmonic Hall named after Toktogul Satylganov and once in the White House itself.
Officials do not yet disclose the details of the ceremony.
According to the procedure, the newly elected head of state will swear an oath on the Constitution.
By tradition, members of the government, deputies of the Parliament, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the host country, outstanding personalities, cultural and art figures are invited to the solemn event.
Candidate from the SDPK party, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, won the elections in the first round with the support of 54.22 percent of voters.
Turnout in the presidential election was 56.34 percent. The results of the voting were abolished at eight polling stations throughout the country, but this did not have any effect on the overall results.
