Kyrgyzstan ranked 79th out of 107 in the Visa Index 2025 passport ranking.
According to the ranking, citizens of Kyrgyzstan can visit 27 countries without a visa, obtain a visa on arrival in 35 countries, apply for an eTA (electronic entry permit) in one country, obtain an eVisa in 40 countries, and apply for a visa in advance in 126 countries.
Among the Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan was second only to Kazakhstan, which ranked 63rd. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan can travel to 44 countries without a visa and obtain one upon arrival in 36 countries.
Nevertheless, Kyrgyzstan has overtaken other Central Asian countries:
Uzbekistan 80th place (28 countries without a visa, 33 upon arrival);
Tajikistan 84th place (23 countries without a visa, 33 on arrival);
Turkmenistan 92nd place (14 countries without a visa, 33 on arrival).
Compared to other post-Soviet countries, Kyrgyzstan lags noticeably behind:
Estonia 11th place (142 countries without a visa, 30 on arrival);
Lithuania 12th place (140 countries without a visa, 30 on arrival);
Latvia 12th place (141 countries without a visa, 30 on arrival);
Ukraine 28th place (110 countries without a visa, 37 on arrival);
Georgia 45th place (84 countries without a visa, 40 on arrival);
Belarus 60th place (48 countries without a visa, 36 on arrival).
