Kyrgyzstan notes labour shortage across country

19.06.2024

"There is a labour shortage across the country," President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov posted on Facebook.

According to him, sewing workshops, construction companies and other enterprises that have been actively working for the past two years have begun to suspend their activities.

"There are complaints about a shortage of employees in the service sector, and the heads of companies ask to increase quotas for workers coming from abroad. Therefore, I had to send such a message. Those who cannot find a job should contact the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration," the head of state noted.

The salary, he emphasised, ranges from 20,000-30,000 som (depending on qualifications and the amount of work it can be higher).

Sadyr Zhaparov added that all questions about the work will be answered by the relevant specialists of the Ministry of Labour. You can get information by phone on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday are days off).
