Kyrgyz-German Business Council must remain an effective platform for direct dialogue between business representatives of two countries, development of practical solutions, and support of promising projects, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev states during the sixth meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council. The Cabinet of Ministers reports this.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers notes that Kyrgyzstan and Germany share longstanding friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust.

"Germany represents one of the global leaders in industry, mechanical engineering, energy, green technologies, digitalisation, vocational education, and training of qualified personnel. For Kyrgyzstan, German experience and technologies represent significant interest.

In this regard, the main topics of our meeting today were defined as: development and support of small and medium sized business; sustainable development of winter tourism in the Issyk-Kul region; development and support of the start-up ecosystem and information technology sphere," he says.

Adylbek Kasymaliev informs meeting participants about key positive results of the republic and outlines a series of priority cooperation directions. Specifically, interest is expressed in expanding direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, organising joint business missions, exchanging experience, and promoting Kyrgyz products to the German market.

Alongside this, the Kyrgyz side maintains interest in transitioning from exporting predominantly raw materials to creating a modern chain of production, processing, packaging, logistics, export.

As of June 2026, three domestic enterprises receive the right to export to the European market.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also notes that special attention focuses on tourism development. Today a number of major infrastructure projects capable of qualitatively changing its tourism image undergo implementation in the country.

Evidence of the growing attractiveness of the country comes from holding the Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship Grand Prix on Lake Issyk-Kul this year, as well as the sixth World Nomad Games, in which about 3 thousand athletes from more than 100 countries of the world take part.

"I would also like to note that in June of this year Kyrgyzstan was removed from the so called black list of the European Union on aviation safety. Currently we consider opening direct flights to Europe, and Germany represents a priority destination," the head of the Cabinet of Ministers says.

Another promising direction involves developing the start up ecosystem and the information technology sphere. In this context, Adylbek Kasymaliev proposes using the opportunities of the High Technology Park of Kyrgyzstan and forming a joint working group to launch a pilot intake of start ups in 2027, followed by introducing the best solutions across enterprises of Kyrgyzstan and promoting them to Central Asian markets.

Co chairman of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council and Honorary Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in the federal states of Bavaria and Thuringia Reinhold Kremmel expresses gratitude for the hospitality and warm welcome.

He underlines the growing role of Kyrgyzstan in the international arena and notes the importance of further developing cooperation with European partners. Reinhold Kremmel pays special attention to the development of small and medium sized business, emphasising that Germany possesses significant experience in this sphere and stands ready to share it with Kyrgyzstani partners, facilitating entrepreneurship development.

Heads of responsible state bodies in the spheres of economy, investment, tourism, digitalisation, and high technology take part in the business council meeting.

Business council participants discuss issues of supporting and developing small and medium sized business, sustainable development of winter tourism in the Issyk-Kul region, as well as developing and supporting the start up ecosystem and the information technology sphere.

Following meeting results, participants adopt a protocol.
