Speaker of Parliament Marlen Mamataliev participates in II Forum of Young Parliamentarians of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Cholpon-Ata.
According to parliament press service, deputies of two countries, representatives of progressive youth and public organisations, and experts participate in event under motto "Youth on path to common progress and peace!", including Deputy Speaker of Kyrgyzstan Meder Aliyev, deputies Tabyldy Muratbekov, Maksat Alymbekov, Erkeaiym Seitkazieva, Bekmyrza Cholponbaev, Adilet Belekov, and Ilimbek Kubanychbekov.
In speech, speaker stops on importance of forum, emphasising historical, cultural, and spiritual closeness of peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. According to Marlen Mamataliev, Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations reached qualitatively new level in recent years thanks to firm political will of heads of two states.
"Inter-parliamentary interaction actively develops as well, becoming strong pillar of bilateral cooperation. Now our task involves transferring these achievements to young generation and strengthening friendship with concrete deeds and joint initiatives," speaker emphasizes.
Marlen Mamataliev notes necessity of continuing cooperation of young parliamentarians of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on permanent basis, not limiting to one-time events.
"Youth represents not only future of our states, but active participant in current development. Accounting for youth voice in state decision-making process ensures policy compliance with society needs and raises trust in democratic institutions," Parliament speaker says.
During forum, participants discuss issues of further strengthening cooperation of young parliamentarians of two countries, raising youth role in socio-political processes, and supporting joint initiatives. Following results, parties emphasise importance of continuing constant dialogue and experience exchange among young parliamentarians.
