On 7 August 2026, a round table titled "Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation of the Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Presentation of Best Projects" took place under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Participants included Plenipotentiary Representatives of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the regions, regional leaders from the Russian Federation, and state agency and business community representatives from both countries.
The round table presented investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and Russia while reviewing prospective projects and directions to expand trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
The Kyrgyz side declared readiness to offer Russian partners investment sites, necessary infrastructure, and state support for initiatives across industry, energy, tourism, agro-processing, and logistics. Kyrgyzstan displays particular interest in expanding cooperation with Russian regions across several key directions, including establishing joint ventures, localizing production, exchanging technologies, and engaging small and medium enterprises in interregional projects.
Meeting participants identified additional interaction potential within agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, machine building, and digital technologies. Russian regional competencies enable establishing joint ventures, localizing production, and building sustainable production chains. Engaging small and medium enterprises carries particular importance: regional administrations and development institutions from both countries can assist enterprises in finding partners, organizing business missions, and supporting joint initiatives.
