Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Ulukbek Maripov, meets the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Gaez Garali, in Riyadh on 5 April.

As Ulukbek Maripov informs the Kabar agency, the parties discuss the current state of Kyrgyz-Tunisian bilateral cooperation and promising directions for its development during the meeting. It is noted that Kyrgyzstan expresses deep interest in deepening political dialogue with Tunisia, as well as in strengthening interaction within international organisations and multilateral platforms.

Special attention during the conversation is paid to the regional agenda. An exchange of views on the current military-political situation in the Middle East takes place. The parties express deep concern over the escalation of tension in the region. The exceptional importance of settling all conflicts exclusively through peaceful and diplomatic means is emphasised.

It is noted that to bring bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, the parties decide to intensify contacts between foreign policy departments. Following the meeting, an agreement is reached to work on the issue of organising telephone negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries in the near future.
