Kyrgyzstan and Korea discuss cooperation in emergency prevention

On 6 March in Bishkek, Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamy rkanov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea Kim Kwang-jae, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the conversation, Urmatbek Shamy rkanov noted the importance of bilateral relations and expressed gratitude to the government of Korea for its constant support of the ministry.

The parties discussed a number of important topics, including the development of cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction and the improvement of the early warning system.

In addition, emphasis was placed on the protection of the population and territories, as well as on increasing the qualifications of rescuers and improving their response to emergency situations.

Participants of the meeting also considered the prospects of joint projects and initiatives aimed at the prevention and elimination of emergency situations.

Ambassador Kim Kwang-jae confirmed the intention to continue constructive cooperation. As a result of the meeting, steps were outlined for the further development of the mutually beneficial partnership.
