The official opening of the small Ananyevo Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) took place in the Ak-Suu District of the Issyk-Kul region. The construction was supported by the Russian–Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF).
The station's launch took place on 29 August with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov, as part of large-scale programme to open 67 new enterprises across the country.
